April 21 - It's good to see we weren't the only ones appalled by the Outer Critics Circle Award Nominees. Rock 'n' Roll was nominated by like many other wonderful performances this year Rufus was snubbed. You can read about it here.

April 19 - Wow! It feels like forever since we've updated but we finally have something new to say! Here is a small story and terrific photo of Rufus from Eleventh Hour. And also this: If you happen to be at the University of Illinois Rufus will be attending The Roger Ebert Film Festival (Ebertfest) next week April 23 - 27. You can read about it here.

April 8 - Rufus has finished his pilot for Eleventh Hour and gone home for a well deserved rest but the Tony handicapping continues. You can read more about it here.

April 6 - Your patience has finally been rewarded. Rufus will appear on this evenings episode of John Adams. If you miss it fire up your TIVO, VCR or DVR and catch it. We'll have some screen caps up soon.

April 3 - The April Clip of the Month is up and it's one of our favorites from In a Savage Land. You can check it out here. We've also added a clip from an interview Rufus did during the run of Rock 'n' Roll. You can catch that one here.

April 2 - If you happen to live in Vancouver keep an eye out for Rufus and his posse filming the pilot for Eleventh Hour. You can read about here. Thanks to tinkerdog for sniffing this one out.

April 1 - Seems CBS is tapping it's show runner for Eleventh Hour which means we'll likely get at least a half season order. You can read about it here. CBS is putting a lot of faith in this one. Go Rufus! And as well a strange little rumor about a new picture from Mel Gibson that's too juicy not to share. You can read this one here.

March 27 - Up for a little Tony handicapping? In this article the Los Angeles Times ponders, dreams and imagines...

March 25 - Did you think we'd forgotten you? With things very quiet on the Rufus front as he tackles his new pilot for CBS we've had very little new to report. But the Hollywood Reporter has an article on how pilot season is going that mentions Rufus and GE2 has discovered a great new old photo which you can find on the last page of the Photo Section.

March 16 - It's still Rock 'n' Roll to me. First we have a terrific little interview that we somehow missed in all the hubbub. Many thanks to tinkerdog who found it originally. Next we have two links to Rufus at the stage door vids that you can watch here and here found by the incomparable GE2. Don't forget John Adams begins it's run tonight on HBO. And last but not least, as promised, we have several new fan photos you find at the link at the top of this page.

March 14 - Warm up your DVR, VCR, video camera on your mobile phone, John Adams begins its run on HBO this Sunday. Here is nice review that gives you an idea of what you can expect.

March 12 - Rufus is in Los Angeles looking like a dapper leading man and we've got a boatload of new photos on the last page of the photo section. Dive in and wallow around. We'll be adding some new fan photos from closing night of Rock 'n' Roll over the next few days so be sure to check back.

March 11 - You can stop speculating. Rufus' new costar for Eleventh Hour will be Marley Shelton according to the news agency Reuters. You can read about it here and bit more here from The Hollywood Reporter.

March 10 - rufianren has gone to a great deal of trouble to translate Fabrice du Welz's Vinyan director's blog into English. You can read it here.

March 9 - This is it. Closing day for Rock 'n' Roll. You still have a few hours left if you'd like to see it and missed your chance. Run, don't walk to the box office and pick up your ticket now. Here is what Playbill.com had to say about the arrival of closing night.

March 7 - You can watch the Making of John Adams here even if you don't happen to have HBO.

March 5 - A bit on Rock 'n' Roll. Not a great deal about Rufus but some very interesting commentary on the history played out in the show. You can read it here. rai tells us that The Making of John Adams is airing this week on HBO. Check your local listings. And this just in GE2 has found a new photo from John Adams. March 4 - The Rufus news is slim these days as Rock 'n' Roll finishes up on Broadway and he prepares to begin work on the pilot for Eleventh Hour. There is an article on Playbill.com about John Adams. Rufus is mentioned briefly in it. You can read it here.

February 29 - There is a bit in today's Longmont Times about Pamela Cuming who wrote the screenplay for Downloading Nancy. There is a brief mention of Rufus. You can read it here.

Premieres Sunday, March 16 at 8pm.

February 22 - A bit of exciting news this morning out of US television-land. Rufus has picked his next project. He will play the lead in Jerry Bruckheimer's new CBS Sci-Fi series Eleventh Hour. A lot of big names attached to this one. You can read more here and here.

February 6 - "Attention all casting directors: Please put Rufus Sewell in a comedy! The man is seriously funny — and he'll never get to show it if you keep thinking of him as a brooding bad boy." From the Associated Press a short interview with Rufus from his dressing room for Rock 'n' Roll.

January 22 - The reviews of Downloading Nancy from The Sundance Film Festival have been decidedly mixed, but it looks as if Rufus has broken the mold of his stereotype from the last few years. And in the plus column, the Tony committee has decided to consider both Brian Cox and Rufus in the best actor category for Rock 'n' Roll despite the fact that neither name appears above the title of the show. January 20 - Downloading Nancy makes one the first lists of top 50 films of 2008 coming in at 31. You can read about it here. January 10 - Thanks to GE2 we have this lovely comment from Rolling Stone: In Rock 'n' Roll — which premiered in London last year and is on Broadway with its original sterling British cast — that same love drives Jan, a Czech émigré, music freak and prize student of Max, a blustery Cambridge University professor and slowly disillusioned socialist. When Jan (played with quiet, concentrated fire by film star Rufus Sewell) returns to Czechoslovakia and becomes a follower of the Plastic People, he and his treasured collection of Western-rock albums are targeted by the secret police, with grim consequences for Jan and his LPs.
