We're going to take a break from the Clip of the Month for a while to revise our format. If you have any suggestions you can share them here.

July 4 - It's pretty quiet in Rufus-land these days. Shooting for Eleventh Hour will soon begin and we should have more news then but until that time, GE2 tells us that the directors cut of Dark City will be released in R2 on 4 August. If you click on the picture to the left you can see the new cover full-sized.

June 27 - Rai also tells us that Eleventh Hour has got an official start date of 9 October, premiering right after CSI. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the actors don't go out on strike and kill the Fall television season in the US. You can read more here. Rufus has been out and about and we've added a few new pictures to the last page of our Photo Gallery. Be sure to check them out.

June 25 - We've got a new photo of Rufus from Eleventh Hour. You can view it in the Television section under the link for the show. And here's an interesting little tidbit uncovered by rai on the re-release of Dark City: From an interview with director Alex Proyas:
BLAKE: What is the biggest difference between it and the original?
ALEX PROYAS: The general pace of the movie is quite different. The director’s cut more or less is the version I had originally sent out when I was first testing the movie. We had problems in testing and it’s why the studio had us add in the voice overs, which I thought was rubbish really! My instinct then was when something wasn’t playing right to speed it up and I’ve never been happy with that, so this version is back to a more leisurely and thoughtful pace it was meant to be. The voice over from the beginning is gone of course. There is also a few scenes added back that were ditched that I think are perfectly good scenes and I have no idea why we dropped them then.
I’m really happy with it! You’re allowed into the world more and you have more time with its characters. Literally almost every scene has another line of dialogue or stuff at the beginning or end. Some people may not notice a difference, but I think you should still feel a difference. I like it a lot more than the theatrical cut.
You can read the rest of the interview here.

June 22 - Great news for Rufus fans Downunder. Nine will be carrying Eleventh Hour in the new Season. You can read more here.

June 21 - A big thank you goes out to Renata for all of her hard work translating Fabriz du Welz Vinyan blog. The new opening date is set for 1 October. She also passes along this: The trailer for Vinyan will be available exclusively on the French Premiere site as of next Friday, 27 June (http://www.premiere.fr/). Vinyan will be released on 1 October ("it's official")... though he doesn't say where, presumably in France. Du Welz also says he watched the first 35 mm copy of the film on Tuesday and cried.

June 19 - We've added several new pictures to the last page of the photo gallery. Be sure to check them out.

June 17 - We've added a few more pictures of Tony night to the last page of the photo gallery. You can also watch a red carpet video here.

May 27 - a little Rufus whimsy today from the Village Voice: I got to schmooze up the people who were British and/or exceptional enough to make the cut. Rock 'n' Roll's superb Rufus Sewell (who's an autumn) told me how he found out he scored: "Just as I got an e-mail saying 'Congratulations,' " he related, "an armed guard at Immigration shouted, 'Put that phone down!' " We know it's been told before but we like it because like all brilliant actors Rufus puts a new spin on the story with each telling.
